Billionaire Elon Musk has reached an agreement to buy Twitter at a price of around $ 44 billion. Two Twitter leaders went as part of the peak executive reshuffle, according to internal memos divided by employees Thursday, when the company wrestled with the takeover of Elon Musk, the richest person in the world.

Kayvon Beykpour, a general manager of Twitter, will leave and will be replaced by Jay Sullivan, according to the memo, obtained by the New York Times. Sullivan is currently a general manager while consumer products. Bruce Falck, a Twitter general manager for income, also left the company.

“It is very important to have the right leader at the right time,” said the CEO of Twitter Parag Agrawal in the memo to the staff. “Sullivan’s product vision, the ability to inspire, move quickly and encourage change is what Twitter needs now, and in the future.”

The memo said Twitter also stopped most of the recruitment and withdrew discretionary expenses, even though the company did not plan layoffs. Part of this comes from a company that does not achieve goals in the growth of the audience and income, writes agrawal.

Twitter has experienced a commotion since Musk made a deal last month to buy social media services for $ 44 billion. Billionaire, who also runs the Tesla Electric Car maker and SpaceX rocket company, said he will take a personal Twitter and want to improve the product. He has criticized several Twitter peak executives in public, especially because of the way they moderate speeches on the service.

Musk, who is still queuing up some financing for purchases, is expected to close the agreement for Twitter in the next few months. In a pitch for investors, he said he wanted to touch Twitter revenue in 2028 and foster its users to 931 million at the time, up from 217 million at the end of last year.
