StartUp seasons 1-3 arrived on Netflix on May 4th, 2021 globally (only 2 seasons for Netflix UK, however) and shot up the highest 10 charts. In fact, as of August 23rd, the show is that the 50th best performing television program in 2021. It survived 28 days within the US top 10s The series began its life together of the flagship shows on Crackle, the streaming service which was once owned by Sony but has since been sold Among the large stars within the lineup for the show included Martin Freeman, Ron Perlman, Adam Brody, and Addison Timlin.
With all three seasons now on Netflix, that’s led to a sudden interest in demand during a fourth season which might be on the way.
Will there be a season 4 of StartUp?
So officially, the show was canceled after season 3 which aired in November 2018 Now years later, Insider got the inside track on the very fact that the show may come , or a minimum of , the first network behind the show is considering it In the piece (which we recommend you inspect but be warned there’s a paywall), Ashley Rodriguez need to speak to the top of Crackle’s parent company soup for the Soul Entertainment, Bill Rouhana.
Bill Rouhana told Insider back in July that they’re considering reviving the show saying that they’ve approached the show’s creators on doing more.
Given the years since season 3, producing a revival with the old cast would likely be hard but conversations are happening Rouhana also suggested that more Crackle titles might be licensed to Netflix within the future saying that the Netflix bump made the series more popular on Crackle too.
Now an enormous word of caution on getting your hopes too high on a Sony TV project. In recent years, variety of status Sony Television Pictures shows are rumored to urge either movies or reboots but most have amounted to zilch .
Last year, many people were hoping for Hannibal to urge renewed after receiving an enormous bump in popularity after being added to Netflix (a revival hasn’t happened) and Community has been long-rumored for a movie then far, nothing has come to fruition.
Of course, if Crackle does plan to renew, that doesn’t mean Netflix would automatically get the show. The show would continue being a Crackle Original which might mean it debuts first and only later down the road come to Netflix, if at all.
With that said, Crackle only operates during a few regions so Netflix might be involved as a world distributor but immediately , this is often all speculation until something official gets announced.
