Netflix is developing me not a perfect Mexican daughter, an adaptation of the novel Erika L. Sánchez with the same name which is a funny contemporary about losing a sister and finding yourself in the midst of pressure, hope, and stereotypes grow in Mexico in Mexico American house.
The film will be directed by award -winning actor, director and producer America Ferrera, whose credit is directed including superstore, Real Women has a curve. Ferrera commented on the project in a statement:
“Years ago, I fell in love with the amazing novel of Erika L. Sánchez, I am not the perfect Mexican daughter. What is the plot of I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter?
As mentioned above, this series is adaptation based on the novel Erika L. Sánchez with the same name. Official synopsis for this book is read as follows:The perfect Mexican daughter does not go to college. And they did not move from their parents’ house after graduating from high school. The perfect Mexican daughter never leaves their family. But Julia is not a perfect Mexican daughter. That is Olga’s role. Then the tragic accident on the busiest road in Chicago left Olga Dead and Julia left behind to put back the pieces of his family that was destroyed.
