Surfing on the web on your TV can be a useful way to explore casual websites and read internet from the comfort of your sofa. In fact, surfing the sofa – Yes, that’s what we call – can be the best way to browse online. Fortunately, many smart TVs come with their own default browser, and if your TV is not smart (instead, if not loaded with its own browser), you can usually download the web browser into streaming that is compatible with HDMI Stick like Amazon Fire TV Stick or Google Chromecast. Amazon Fire TV Stick has a silk browser, for example, while Google Chromecast is associating directly to Google Chrome.
But what if your TV is not equipped with its own browser, or you don’t have a luxurious streaming stick, or if you don’t use streaming sticks at all? Some people prefer to build all their entertainment centers around their choice video game console, which may only be Playstation 5 if you see this guide. PS5 is actually not equipped with its own web browser, but indeed comes with a gap that you can exploit to get access to certain websites, as long as they are seen on Twitter. In that note, you must also have your own Twitter account. However, whether this is preferred or not for you in the long run, is another question.
How to browse the internet through the PS5’s Twitter app
There is one way to enter the internet on PS5, and that is via Twitter. To get access to the application, first you have to create your own account, then enter it from your PS5. Is a good idea to have secondary devices such as PCs or smartphones to easily access Twitter and create a previous account without additional complications. After your account is ready to be rolled up, you can set everything in your Playstation 5 by following these steps:
1 Go to the PS5 dashboard menu.
2 Scroll all the way to the gear symbol symbolizing the “Settings” menu on the top right of the screen (to the right of the magnifying glass and to the left of your account information).
3 Navigate to the “Users and Accounts” option and select it.
4 Inside of the “Users and Accounts” menu, navigate to the “Link with Other Services” tab.
5 Select “Twitter” from the menu tab.
6 You’ll now get a prompt to authorize your PlayStation account to your Twitter account. Instead of filling out the info on this page, scroll directly to the little Twitter icon at the top of the page above everything else and select that.
7 You should now see a regular Twitter login prompt. Enter your Twitter username and password to log in like you would on any other device.
After successfully entering, you must now be in the desktop browser version of the personalized Twitter timeline. Congratulations, it’s time to scroll! From your timeline, you should be able to navigate to any web page that is linked via tweet.
