Danny indeed tries to win the favor of Judge Elihu Smails, who’s both the arrogantco-founder and director of the bin education program. All the while we see that Carl Spackler is mentally unstable and works in the form of a gardener. He lives in the conservation structure, but is transferred by his Scottish administrator to hunt down a gopher responsible for damaging the track. Latterly we meet Al Czervik. He’s roisterous with a lot of energy and starts to visit the club. He indeed manages to distract Smails as he leaves, causing his shot to go bad.
Smails becomes so frustrated that he loses his bet and throws his putter, injuring an senior woman. Danny takes the blame to win Smails’ favor. Therefore, Smails encourages him to apply for a education. The periodic Fourth of July feed arrives at the Bushwood, and Danny and his gal Maggie work as delay staff. Meanwhile, Al still owns Smails, but Danny has his eyes on Smails’ miscellaneous bastard named Lacey Underall.
