Acer has verified a data breach on its after- deals systems in India. The company said that this was an isolated attack and the applicable authorities had been informed “Upon discovery, we incontinently initiated our security protocols and conducted a full checkup of our systems. We’re notifying all potentially affected guests in India,”an Acer Corporate Dispatches prophet told BleepingComputer The attack has been reported to original law enforcement and the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team.
So far, a trouble actor has claimed responsibility for the breach and posted on a popular forum that they stole further than 60 GB of data from Acer’s waiters. The lines include customer, commercial, fiscal data and login details of colorful retailers and distributors for Acer in the country The hacker group calling itself DESORDEN posted a videotape, with lines and databases containing records of guests and credentials for over Acer authorised distributors and retailers in India.
